PROFESSIONAL PORTFOLIO

EXCITED TO WORK WITH YOU & YOUR GROUP SOON!

My formal education and life experience have helped me develop skills to support people in their journey to achieve overall well-being. As a registered dietitian who has completed her master's in applied positive psychology (the science of mental well-being) at the University of Pennsylvania under the founder of the field, Dr. Martin Seligman, I have made it my goal to be a continual student of positive health behavior change. With eight years of research experience and 6 years of public health and food advocate experience in weight management, counseling, and nutrition education, I apply the science of health and wellbeing with those that I counsel and consult. My current research and work are based on combining the scholastic fields of positive psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, education, and dietetics.

My counseling approach aims to build on the areas in which people are already doing well and helps to develop skills in areas that need support by drawing on an individual's character strengths, learning style, and individual social and lifestyle differences. My goal is to help people thrive by supporting both their physical and mental well-being.

I love the uniqueness of people. When I think about how many difference human beings have lived, worked, loved, and parented throughout time, I am amazed. There have been so many unique points of view, different skills and wisdoms that have shaped and progressed our world. My goals is to help people discover and appreciate their uniqueness and develop their personal one of a kind approach to health and wellbeing.
